Hi Peter, In addition to what Uli sai, I'd like to suggest you have a look at this instant heater based on a glow plug. You don't face these problems with the MOT as we do in Germany when we install something like this. So it may be useful for you : http://www.oilpress.com/rape-therm.JPG . Some other way yould be a Bosch filter heater. Maybe somebody has one left here as they are not being sold as a single part. But you will e.g. find it in Vauxhall Astras between the fuel filter and the holder. However, if you could send us some more detailed information on your car (engine) we youd provide some more hints for you. What e.g means "SD"? Is it a direct injection or still a whirlchamber engine without a turbo? Stephan
