THE death toll from Tropical Storm Juaning (international codename: Nock-ten) rose to 41, the national disaster council reported Friday.
In its 6 a.m. Friday bulletin, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRMMC) recorded more fatalities in the Bicol Region.
Of the 41 deaths, one was recorded in Nueva Ecija, two each in Cavite and Quezon province, one in Marinduque, 11 in Albay, six in Catanduanes, two in Camarines Sur, seven in Camarines Norte, two in Masbate, four in Ifugao, and one each in Iloilo, Siquijor, and Las Piņas.
The NDRRMC also recorded 40 people who were injured and 24 others who remain missing.
The council also said the number of affected families rose to 158,144 or equivalent to 790,601 individuals.
